{"id":12170,"date":"2024-12-06T10:24:18","date_gmt":"2024-12-06T07:24:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.atidi.africa\/the-african-solidarity-fund-asf-fsa-and-the-african-trade-investment-development-insurance-atidi-sign-a-framework-cooperation-agreement\/"},"modified":"2025-10-09T10:29:23","modified_gmt":"2025-10-09T07:29:23","slug":"the-african-solidarity-fund-asf-fsa-and-the-african-trade-investment-development-insurance-atidi-sign-a-framework-cooperation-agreement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.atidi.africa\/ja\/the-african-solidarity-fund-asf-fsa-and-the-african-trade-investment-development-insurance-atidi-sign-a-framework-cooperation-agreement\/","title":{"rendered":"The African Solidarity Fund (ASF-FSA) and the African Trade &#038; Investment Development Insurance (ATIDI) sign a Framework Cooperation Agreement"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Rabat, Morocco &#8211; December 5, 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The African Solidarity Fund (ASF) and the African Trade &amp; Investment Development Insurance (ATIDI) signed on the sidelines of the Africa Investment Forum 2024 (AIF 2024), a framework cooperation agreement, paving the way for further strategic collaboration to promote economic development and mitigate the risks associated with investment and trade in Africa.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement provides a framework for cooperation in support of infrastructure and economic development projects in member states belonging to both institutions (Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Chad, C\u00f4te d&#8217;Ivoire, Mali, Niger, Rwanda, Senegal and Togo), and also helps mitigate risk for investors, corporates and lenders looking to invest in Africa.<\/p>\n<p>The main objectives of this partnership include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Marketing of both organizations&#8217; risk mitigation solutions for commercial and investment transactions.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting the development of renewable energy sources and infrastructure within the framework of the African Continental Free Trade Area (ACFTA).<\/li>\n<li>Developing professional skills and improving the business environment in Africa.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Mr Abdourahmane Diallo<\/strong>, Managing Director of the ASF, said: <em>\u201cThis agreement marks an important milestone in promoting sustainable development in Africa. We are joining forces to drive investment and encourage economic growth across the continent, while ensuring a secure environment for investors.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Manuel Moses<\/strong>, CEO of ATIDI, added: &#8220;<em>This partnership gives us the opportunity to strengthen our range of practical financial solutions designed to meet Africa&#8217;s economic challenges, including by mitigating the risks that often hinder trade &amp; investment. It also reflects the need for multilateral institutions to work together to facilitate access to development financing for our continent.
